Being a long-distance mom is a very difficult struggle and
the only way to get through it is to cope. Since my work is here in
SG and I am still not able to leave it and go back to PH for good,I will definitely be away from my baby,at least for a while.Early in the pregnancy, I already
started thinking of ways to cope with this situation, and that’s where my search led me to
this revolutionary device that’s made especially for long distance parents.
Presenting, the BabyPing baby monitor.
BabyPing is actually a baby monitor that you can view
through your IOS device (Iphone/Ipod/Ipad), anytime, anywhere in the world.
Bingo! Grabe talaga the technology nowadays, you can really rely that
someone has already developed something that would be an answer to your very
need. Actually, I only chanced upon this device. Originally, the intention was
just to look for a good baby monitor so the caretaker can monitor the baby
while doing something. Talagang I was amazed
the more I discover how this device is really an answered prayer and
will definitely lessen the agony of being away from my precious bub. At least with this, I can really see my
daughter (as long as the monitor faces her and we both have internet connection)
as often as I want to. Yes there’s Skype but I can’t demand it as often as I
want since Kiddo’s caretakers (mom or yaya) would not be available all the time
to place the call and talk to me with the baby.
Great things about BabyPing (BTW, this is not a sponsored
post, this product really is a lifesaver so I’m sharing it to all long-distance
and working moms out there)
1. Easy-to-install
You just need to have connect BabyPing to your Wi-Fi router through the network cable. Turn on the BabyPing and connect your IOS devise to the local Wi-Fi and auto set-up will do the rest.
2. View through your IOS devices
Iphone/Ipos/Ipad, who doesn’t one of these nowadays? Soon it will also be accessible through any Android devices.
3. View from anywhere in the world
An extension app, called BabyPing+ is available to enable viewing outside the local Wi-Fi network. All that is needed is email registration through the BabyPing App and access through BabyPing+ app.
4. Superb Camera Resolution
Super linaw, as in high definition! Let the following screenshots be proof.

Moments captured,right??
Need Improvement:
1. Lag time – In our case, since the feed comes from MNL to SG, the lag time is quite expected. It may also be more dependent on the internet connection strength of both parties. But if BabyPing, can do something about it, then good, right?
2. Audio – Sometimes and I don’t know why, I only hear a static sound when I tune in to the monitor. I have yet to figure out what is causing this. I’m thinking it could be caused by mobile phone interference or some settings issue.
3. Lack of other functions – the monitor cannot be panned and zoomed..so you’re stuck at only one angle. I have to ask the someone at home to move the monitor if I want my view changed.
4. One-way audio – I found out that some monitors allow for 2-way audio, meaning the both parties can communicate with each other through the monitor. It would be cool if my baby or the other party can hear me. Weird nga lang para s kanila na biglang my voice would boom in, parang si Big Brother lang..hahaha..
5. Only available for shipping in UK and US - I had it shipped to my officemate's brother in the US so they can give it to his wife's sister to hand to me when she flies back to Manila. So complicated no?That's how I was really determined to get it, pumaraan talaga!
Over-all, I’m one BabyPing fan. Thanks to BabyPing, I am
able to witness some of my baby’s milestones and document it as well. Happy
OFMom!
